One of the most charming places to stay in the Cyclades is Petra in Ios. It is a group of 18 villas of traditional Cycladic architecture, on the beach, built in harmony completely with the natural landscape.
It overlooks Ios bay and stands within walking distance from the port and the village.
All villas provide sea view, an independent entrance and a private veranda. The interior is spacious, simple decorated, with built sofas and traditional furniture.

Area Information
The resort stands on the beach, within walking distance from the port and Chora. In short distance are located many beaches, as Koumbara, Tzamaria, Kolitzani and Mylopotas. It has the advantage to be near the center of entertainment but not in it. Next to hotel entrance there is a bus stop that provides you direct reach to Chora and Mylopotas.

There is nothing that we did not like about the hotel and Ios is such a beautiful island. The only improvement to the accomodation I would recommend would be to enlarge the shower cabin. But overall it was perfect. The accommodation is very comfortable, the view from the houses is amazing, it is easy to get around the island and to find very good places to eat nearby. This was exactely what we were looking for. Simple, charming, quiet place next to the see. Cherry on the cake the nice terrasse and the nice people we have met there (owners and staff). We stayed early in the season and the owners were busy preparing the houses ready for guests, but they always made time for a quick chat. We were disappointed that they hadn't got round to opening the Beach Bar - we were looking forward to having a drink here. But maybe next time!! We hope to come back next year! | 5 |
